Buying a used vehicle can be quite a large step. We can help make that large step a smaller step with these helpful hints
PRACTICALITY
You need to consider a few things before choosing what type of car you would like to drive. If you live locally on the Gold Coast, a small economical car comes in handy for parking and low running costs. If you have a family, maybe a larger four-door vehicle would be more suited, with plenty of space in the boot for shopping, prams and other things. A people mover or large 4WD may be suited for an even larger family. Will you be using the vehicle for towing or long trips?
MONEY MONEY MONEY
One of the most important things to consider is your budget. Take into account things like registration, insurance and general running costs. The cheapest cars on the market today usually aren't the best value. Toyotas aren't normally the cheapest vehicles in their classes, but remember that they are of higher quality and reliability, have better features and resell value and this makes them stand out in front by a long shot! If you're not sure how far your money will go with a used vehicle, our specialised Business Managers can assist you and help determine what type of car you'll be able to afford.
COMPARING MODELS
After working out what you need in a vehicle, make a list of models you're interested in. Take the time, do some research on the internet, have a look in the newspapers and magazines. Call in to our Nerang or Burleigh dealerships, and explore the various models available. Talk to one of our friendly sales representatives and ask about the models you're interested in. They will provide you with the information on what models are in stock, along with prices including on-road costs. If you have a vehicle you wish to trade-in, the sales representative will arrange an appraisal for you.
TAKE A TEST DRIVE
You might love the look of a particular vehicle, but most importantly you will want to enjoy driving the vehicle as well. Ask to take the model you're interested in for a test drive. It is standard practice for a sales representative to accompany you during the test drive. Take your time whilst driving the vehicle - check the drivability, the engine's power and the visibility from the driver's seat. When you get back from your drive, explore the vehicle - turn up the stereo, adjust your seat and ask the sales representative to guide you through the various controls and functions of the vehicle.
AND FINALLY
You've decided which vehicle you would like to purchase. The sales representative will advise and assist you with the purchasing of your vehicle. On the day of delivery, the sales representative will spend some time with you, helping you to familiarise yourself with your newly purchased vehicle. Happy Motoring!
