A smooth performer.
The 1.5 litre twin cam multivalve engine of the Yaris Sedan is urged along by some clever thinking. Variable Valve timing with intelligence (VVT-i) delivers crisp acceleration yet achieves surprising economy with low emissions. Underneath, a cleverly developed suspension system results in extra steering stability and grip, so you won't be caught on the hop. Optimised spring and shock absorber tuning smooths away road undulations. The result is a noticeable improvement in ride quality over most cars in its class.
Longer body, yet easier parking. That's clever.
Elegant, flowing lines reflect distinctly European design cues. It's longer, lower and wider that the hatch with larger outside dimensions. Even the wheelbase is longer. Thanks to clever engineering, the turning radius is surprisingly small, so it's easy to slip into tight parking spots. The front grille treatment and neatly integrated headlamps are unique to Yaris Sedan, while the T-form grille design retains styling synergies with models like Yaris Hatch and Corolla. For those after ever greater presence on the road the YRX comes standard with 15" alloy wheels and a sporty body kit that will really catch the eye. So not, trading up to a sedan doesn't mean trading down on style, because Yaris Sedan has taken clever design to new lengths.
More room inside for more clever ideas.
Here is the compact sedan that's packed with clever thinking. Inside you'll find an abundance of storage compartments that extend all the way to the spacious boot. Eliminating the transmission tunnel results in a flat floor, for improved legroom in the rear. Very clever. Plus, the 60:40 split rear seat lets you carry long objects plus two rear passengers in the one sitting. The instrumentation displays the classic lines of an analogue watch, for added readability. Below that, three ergonomically located heater, demister and air conditioning controls reflect cool design and offer easy operation. Plus, tilt and telescopic steering allows you to select your ideal driving position.
Clever safety features.
Toyota engineers have cleverly packed Yaris Sedan with big car safety features. An intelligent braking package called 'Active Braking with intelligence' (Ab-i) comes standard. This clever braking system includes technologies that go beyond the benefits of standard ABS to ensure that the Yaris stops as quickly and safely as possible during an emergency situation. Also standard are dual front SRS airbags, while the Enhanced Satety Pack option has an additional four airbags for extra peace of mind. The rigid Safe-T-Cell and extensive crash testing mean superior omni-directional crash protection capabiltity. Clever use of structural reinforcements in key areas has resulted in greater strength, improved handling and stability.
